Paddy Power gambles on iPad

Paddy Power has launched yet another mobile betting app this time through the App Store. The mobile betting technology leader had launched its first iPad App to join the suite of mobile applications it already has available. Paddy Power is the first bookmaker to have both an iPhone and iPad downloadable App in the App Store, as well as being in the Android marketplace. The iPad App is now published in the App Store and available for download.

Paddy Power launched an Android App for its mobile customers just last week. The iPad App is the third downloadable mobile application that Paddy Power has launched this year. The App is designed to work on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices, and will present the user with an optimized display suitable for the device on which it is installed. When searching the App Store, the App will appear in both iPhone and iPad search results.

Through the iPad App, just like the iPhone App, customers can manage their entire online Paddy Power account. The range of Paddy Power specials available on the App includes money back specials, fallers insurance and early payouts among others. Clients can also open a new account, deposit and withdraw money. They can bet on the entire range of Paddy Power markets including racing, football and over 1,000 different sports markets.

"We have seen with the rate of download of all of our previous apps that the demand for mobile betting apps from Paddy Power’s customers is extremely high. We are committed to delivering a superior mobile betting experience for all of our customers regardless of their platform of choice. We know that our customers are spending more and more time online on their mobile and Paddy Power wants to provide them with the most engaging mobile platform experience through iPad, iPhone and Android. Trend watching is something we will continue to do here into the future" said James Grimes, Product Manager at Paddy Power.

"We are very happy with the success of the Apps we have released this year. We continue to see significant growth in the mobile market for our products and with our partners Mobenga, we will continue to develop new mobile products for our customers" continued Grimes.

Christian Rajter of Mobenga added "iPhone has been a massive success for Paddy Power and Mobenga so creating an iPad app available through the app store was a no-brainer. iPad users will love the application and Mobenga will together with Paddy Power continue to develop the iPad app to maximize the possibilities and user experience."
