Multi-Platform Strategy with Paddy Power
Irish betting giant Paddy Power was the first bookmaker to have both an iPhone and iPad Application in the App Store, as well as being in the Android marketplace. Mobenga was responsible for technical development of the apps in line with Paddy Power’s aggressive multi-platform strategy.

The Paddy Power app has received several significant industry acknowledgements. In September 2010 Google Mobile executive Ian Carrington named Paddy Power’s mobile portfolio as one of three "outstanding examples of optimized mobile platforms", the other two being Amazon and eBay. In November 2010, Paddy Power’s iPhone App won an “Appy” award for the Best Branded App in Ireland 2010.
Commercially the new Apps have been a huge success.
“We have seen mobile turnover increase 287% in the first half of 2010. The World Cup was also a fantastic event for mobile. We had a 10-fold increase in mobile betting during World Cup 2010 when compared to Euro 2008", says Grimes.
